South London

Not strictly LP Swing Orchestra but Strictly Selsdon; the monthly tea dance that Pete Long and Joe run. Unfortunately the hall we use is not available next month so there is no dance on 7th November. However in its place, there will be a small jazz trio gig in the café with Pete Long (clarinet), Colin Good (piano) and Joe (bass). Entry is free and the café will be open for refreshments. That's at Selsdon Hall, Addington Road, Selsdon, South Croydon (beneath the big Sainsbury's), 3.30-4.30pm.

The main tea dance will recommence in December on Tuesday 5th, with a full 2-hour session. £10 entry on-the-door, free tea/coffee and cake and free parking.

This Friday evening I'll be presenting the award-winning singer, Jo Harrop at the Trinity Jazz Club in Trinity School Croydon. The night takes place in the school's sixth form centre where there is a café layout and fully-licensed bar. Jo will be joined by her trio (with Joe on bass) and there will be support from the school's amazing music students.
