One of the classiest lead trumpet players in the business, Russell is also a member of the John Wilson Orchestra and was formerly in the Syd Lawrence Orchestra. As a big band specialist, Russell often guests with major orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the Hallé and the RTÈ Concert Orchestra. His West End credits include Miss Saigon and Half A Sixpence and, on TV, Russell has backed stars including Westlife and Harry Connick Jr.
